Training Band
Training Band (TB) is specifically tailored for beginners. The full band will rehearse on Fridays 7:45 – 9:00 am. Rehearsals will take place in the band room (K-2). The conductor will advise the children which section rehearsing each week. Progression will be as per the Band Award Program.
Intermediate Band
Intermediate Band (ICB) will offer repertoire for students with at least a year of practice on their respective instrument. This band rehearses on Wednesday Mornings from 7:30 – 9:00 in the band room (K-2). Progression will be as per the Band Award Program.
Senior Band
Senior Concert Band (SCB) targets more students with typically two or more years of practice. The band rehearses on Monday Afternoons 3:30-4:30pm and Thursday mornings 7:30- 8:15am in the band room (K-2).
Jazz Band
Jazz Band offers an opportunity for advanced students to play in a band with jazz ensemble type of set up. Each player in this band is also a member of a school Concert Band. This band rehearses on Thursday mornings 8:15-9:00am in the band room (K-2). There is a limited number of places available. Entry into this band is usually offered via audition and targets students who play saxophone, trumpet, trombone, bass guitar, baritone, keyboard and percussion.
